Total Recall Remake Gets Director

Recall, Recall, Recall

Get it? As it has become a mandatory thing these days for remake or revisions of previous films, you ill no doubt be unsurprised to hear that Die Hard 4. 0 director Len Wiseman is currently in negotiation to bring a new Total Recall to our screens.

The 1990 cult classic was based on original Science Fiction maestro Philip K. Dicks’ “We Can Remember It for You Wholesale”. In the year 2084, Douglas Quaid, a constructive worker on Earth tempted by the latest technological mind trip of a lifetime; an implant of memories to any place, time or scenario that he wishes; Mars anybody? However, while under the procedure traces of a previous mind weld kick in.

Currently it is Equilibrium writer/director Kurt Wimmer who is tackling the script, but it is not known whether we are looking at a retread of the original Paul Verhoeven outing, or a film that uses Dicks’ premise and takes a totally different ride of the mind. The big question is this; who will fill Arnold Schwarzenegger's boots as Quaid?
