With Christopher Nolan overseeing the next DC Comic’s Superman project, it remains to be seen how far away from Bryan Singer’s homage to Superman it will go. But, if it were up to Brandon Routh one thing wouldn’t change; who pulls on the red pants.
At Comic Con Routh commented on the topic of Superman, saying “I think the brother Nolan are both very talented and o that makes it a different kind of film that would be than Bryan’ vision, which I think was a very nice film that I’m very proud of”.
But would Nolan look to Routh to fill those boots again? He was the perfect cast for Superman without a doubt eclipsing Christopher Reeve’s man of steel; it was in no way down to Routh that the film divided opinion. Routh says it best it was a ‘very nice film’, but it lacked real menace, threat or audience connection with its overly polished veneer.
