From the news desk of Latino Review comes unconfirmed details that Kate Beckinsale has signed to co-star alongside Mark Wahlberg in Contraband, the newly titled remake of Reykjavik-Rotterdam.
It was a year ago now that it was announced that Wahlberg was producing with Baltasar Kormakur, who starred in the Icelandic original, replacing Oskar Jonasson as director. Araon Guzikowski, the writer behind 2009 blacklist spec "Prisoners" has handed scripting duties.
The story revolves around a reformed smuggler on the Iceland to Netherlands route, but who is tempted back into the fray after hitting financial difficulties.
It is all fairly vague at the moment, more to come as it arrives.
